Week 8 of the Men's Midwest D1 Competition featured all the home teams winning, with 2 tight matches and 2 blowout wins.
Metropolis rebounded from their loss last week with a big win at home over the Griffins, 58-17, to maintain their 1st place lead in the standings. The Blues continued their winning ways with a dominating win against the visiting Lions, 52-15. The Blues jumped one place to 3rd while the Lions fell 2 spots to 4th.
The Barbarians outlasted the Wolfhounds in a tight 26-23 battle at home. The win moves the Barbarians up one spot to 2nd while the Wolfhounds dropped one spot to 6th despite 2 bonus points for their effort. The Dragons bested Scioto Valley 37-33 in another close contest. The Dragons moved up to 5th in the standings while Scioto Valley remained in the 7th spot.
