Milwaukee tops CARFU Cup table with 3-0 record.

The Milwaukee Harlequins extended their unbeaten streak to 3 matches on Saturday with a hard-fought 12-10 win in Madison, WI over former Division 2 rivals the Wisconsin RFC.

The win breaks a tie for first place in the White league of the CARFU Cup and further solidifies a place for the Milwaukee-based rugby club in the 2011 CARFU Cup post-season.

Before starting the match, the team stood in silence in remembrance of our fallen brother Phillippe Leka who died one year ago.

After the A-side match, the weather turned from bad to worse as the Milwaukee Harlequins faced Wisconsin RFC in snowy, near white-out conditions.

Like the first match, this B-side encounter was a defensive barn burner with Milwaukee leading just 7-0 at the final whistle.
