Milwaukee rugby advances to Division 1 post-season.

The Milwaukee Barbarians travelled to Columbus, OH today to take on Scioto Valley.

Expectations going into the match were mixed. Back in week 5, the Barbarians won a close contest 28-18 at home. However, injuries and player relocations have left the D1 squad short-handed for much of the spring campaign.

Despite traveling with no reserves, the Barbarians ground out a gritty, bonus-point victory on the road with the score reading 33-18 at the final whistle.

The bonus point secures Milwaukee fourth-place in the regular season, and a trip to the Midwest RFU playoffs vs. the top-seeded Kansas City Blues on May 16.

Before that however, Milwaukee and the Blues will play a warm-up in Milwaukee in May 9 as the final and sole remaining regular season fixture in the Midwest Division 1 league.
