2015 rugby boot camp week set for mid-August.

The Milwaukee Barbarians Athletic Club are proud to announce their upcoming 2015 rugby bootcamp. 

The camp is a series of clinics designed to introduce the sport of rugby union football to athletes in the greater Milwaukee region. 

It consists of three training sessions culminating in a scrimmage with the existing club members and a social event as follows:

  • Tuesday, Aug 11, 6-8PM, Old Milwaukee Gun Club
  • Thursday, Aug 13, 6-8PM, Old Milwaukee Gun Club
  • Saturday, Aug 15, 11AM-3PM, Zablocki Park

All attendees will receive a free team shirt and complimentary food and beverages at the social following the Saturday match.

Vic Drover

Vic has a long history in and around the sport of rugby both in Canada and the US. He has played for and started numerous clubs (Vandal's RFC, Strathcona Druids, Suffolk Bull Moose, Westside Harlequins, Milwaukee Barbarians, Hamilton Girls Rugby), and served many roles over the years at all administrative levels. Vic joined the Harlequins in 2007 and remained an active club member through the transition to the Barbarians. These days, he spends his rugby time playing tag rugby and touring with the Old Boys, keeping the club website updated, helping organize the Lakefront 7s, and fundraising.
