Barbarians takes 6th place at rugby sevens event in Kenosha, WI.

The Milwaukee Barbarians today played in Kenosha at the 15th annual Harborfest rugby 7s tournament.

The Barbarians got off to a shaky start with 2 straight losses.

After re-grouping and calling on some late-arriving athletes — including some fleet-footed front row veterans — the Barbarians changed direction with a big win in their last match of the seeding round against the Woodsmen.

Advancing to the consolation semi-final, they racked up another impressive win against Madison with a 29-5 scoreline to advance to the championship match.

However, the Barbarians lost in the consolation final to a very determined team from UW Whitewater, ending the tournament 6th overall.
