Milwaukee rugby players feature on select side at Stampede 7s.

Congratulations to 3 of our players who represented our country this 4th of July weekend by playing for a select side, Stars and Stripes 7’s, in the Calgary Stampede 7’s tournament in Calgary, Canada.

Nate Olsen, Zach Albert, and Mike Albert helped the Stars and Stripes go 2-0-1 in pool play on the day and earning the 3 seed in the knockout round.

In the semi’s they bested an all Fijian British Colombia Army team 26-7. In the finals, they took a tough loss to a Fijian select side which featured some of Fiji’s national 7’s players, and took 2nd in the tournament.

The boys combined for 9 tries on the day between them, and represented the Milwaukee Barbarians well.
