Superior stamina prevails in Division 3 season opener for the Barbarians.

The Barbarian’s Division 3 side secured an important victory today vs the Griffins (Oconomowoc, WI). 

The first half was mostly a defensive stalemate. The Barbarians scored an unconverted try at the 13-minute mark (Schaffer) and the score remained tight at 5-0 until just before the half-time whistle when Schaffer got his second try. 

At the break, Milwaukee was ahead 12-0. 

The second half saw the Griffins get on the board twice, but long periods of defense tired the visitor’s, allowing the Barbarians to stretch the scoreline with tries from Klein, Elsner, Fendryk, and DeYoung. 

With the final whistle, the hosts secured a bonus-point victory 36-12.
