Barbarians notch first-ever D1 win in Minneapolis.

The Milwaukee Barbarians secured an important club milestone on Saturday with a gritty, come-from-behind wind against a determined Metropolis home-side in Minneapolis, MN. The win on the road at the Metropolis home pitch is a first for the Milwaukee rugby team.

Their record improves to 3-9-0 and puts them in the hunt for a 5th-place finish to the season.

For nearly 30 minutes, the match remained very close with the scores locked at 10-7 for Metropolis.

But 3 quick tries at 31, 34 and 39 minutes saw the home side head into the half time with a comfortable 25-7 lead.

Milwaukee responded in the second half with 3 unanswered tries of their own and at the 57 minute mark lead 28-25.

But there would be two more lead changes before the match was over. First a try by Metro, and then the winning try by Milwaukee who lead 33-30 at the 66 minute mark and held on for the win.
