We're officially developing a dedicated rugby facility in Milwaukee and we need your help.

Please donate to fund the development of the facility. All donations will be matched up to $25,000.

Names of donors contributing $1000 or more will be permanently noted on the facility wall as a "Founder".

Barbarians elect 3rd President – Ben Nirschl.

At the Barbarians Annual General Meeting yesterday three new board members were elected:

  • Ben Nirschl — President
  • Todd Chini — Secretary
  • Joe Grams — Player at Large 

Ben will serve as the Barbarians 3rd following past-presidents Victor Drover (2nd) and Joe Kloiber (1st).

Board members serve alternating 2-year terms and our other 2 board members include:

  • Joe Cunningham — General Manager
  • Brian Strenk — Treasurer

A big thank you goes out to Vic, Erik Schleicher, and Randy Fendryk for their service to the club as they complete their terms and depart the board.

Vic Drover

Vic has a long history in and around the sport of rugby both in Canada and the US. He has played for and started numerous clubs (Vandal's RFC, Strathcona Druids, Suffolk Bull Moose, Westside Harlequins, Milwaukee Barbarians, Hamilton Girls Rugby), and served many roles over the years at all administrative levels. Vic joined the Harlequins in 2007 and remained an active club member through the transition to the Barbarians. These days, he spends his rugby time playing tag rugby and touring with the Old Boys, keeping the club website updated, helping organize the Lakefront 7s, and fundraising.
