The Milwaukee Barbarians are thrilled to announce that the club has finalized it’s corporate partnerships for the 2018-2020 sponsorship cycle. In total, five companies have each made the three-year commitment to support rugby in the Milwaukee area.
Ongoing support
The Barbarians are fortunate to have the loyalty of companies like Athletico Physical Therapy who have sponsored the club since it’s beginning in 2012. Athletico will be at every home game for pre-match preparation and post-match injury screening. You’ll also see them at our annual event the Lakefront 7s Rugby Festival and Tournament.
Returning for their second round of sponsorship are Spectrum Wealth Advisors, Johnsonville Sausage, and the Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin (OHOW).
“The Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin is proud to sponsor the Milwaukee Barbarians Athletic Club,” said Brian Cramer, CEO of OHOW. “Since 2016, we have enjoyed a superb relationship with a great organization.”
New kid on the block
ECM USA, a world leader in low pressure vacuum carburizing furnaces, is the newest addition to our list of partners.
Through it’s parent company ECM and its subsidiaries, ECM USA is a supporter of rugby around the world. They sponsor FC Grenoble Rugby in France and the Beijing Aardvarks Rangers in China. The partnership with the Milwaukee Barbarians is ECM’s first investment in North American rugby.
“ECM USA is proud to sponsor Milwaukee Barbarians Rugby and we look forward to developing our partnership,” said Vincent Esteve, the lead application and sales engineer in Wisconsin. “Rugby’s values such as teamwork, dedication and determination are an important part of our corporate policy and culture, so supporting rugby is natural for us.”
Rugby needs community support
The Barbarians are fortunate to have the trust and support of so many great local organizations.
“Multi-year commitments make it much easier for us to focus on delivering rugby programs for youth/students and adults, and let us focus more on the sport and less on administration and fundraising,” said sponsorship coordinator Victor Drover.
“I’m extremely grateful that we have connected with companies that give back to their local communities and focus on building strong, positive relationships.”
