Barbarians division 3 team give up only try of the day in 47-5 win over Wolfpac.

The Milwaukee Barbarians kicked off the spring leg of the 2014-2015 season with the Second XV — the club’s Division 3 side — playing a four-by-twenty-minute round robin against the Fond Du Lac Wolfpac and MRFC.

Against the Wolfpac, it was a tale of two halves. The first period was a tight affair with the score after 20 minutes a narrow 12-5 for Milwaukee.

In the second fifteen, the Barbarians superior fitness showed through as they ran up five unanswered tries to finish 35-0 — or 47-5 combined — with the final try of the day scored by Ben “the Messiah” Nirschl.

The Division 3 side also played MRFC in the same round robin.

The next match for the 6-0-0 Barbarians is the Spring league opener on April 11th against Green Bay who are also 6-0-0. The winner of this match is expected to take the 1st seed in the playoffs.
